I'm puzzled by iperf3's throughput figures.

My sole wireless client is a Dell inspiron laptop (15/3000). I've been
checking throughput via our fritzbox 3490 to other machines on our home lan.

Sending data from the laptop seems to be systematically about 20% slower
than sending to the laptop. typically ~100Mb/s as opposed to 120Mb/s.
It also seems to fluctuate a lot more too.

Can anyone suggest why this might be please?
2.4GHz band, Mint 20.2 on the laptop; mint 20/21, raspbian, freebsd as
wired clients. (Just tested, BTW, with the lappy about 10 feet from the AP)

Sometimes noise interference only happens with the weak signal coming in.
Not the strong signal going out.
